Neds scratch 'f***' into car bonnets in vandalism spree

Police are hunting yobs who scrawled swear words into car bonnets during a vandalism spree.

Multiple motors were targeted overnight between Monday and Tuesday.

Owners discovered the damage in the St Leonard's area of East Kilbride.

Vehicles in Glen Moriston and Glen Mallie were targeted, the East Kilbride News reports.

Police released pictures of the word "f***" scratched into the bonnet of two cars, but believe there could be more.

Community policing sergeant, Jamie Madden, told the News: "There may have been some vandalism that may not have been reported to police.

"I am appealing for witnesses who may have seen or heard anyone around the area between these times to come forward.

"I'm also appealing to anyone with any dashcam or CCTV footage which may show this incident."

If you can help call PC Andrew McLeod at East Kilbride Police Office on 101.

Information can be left anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
