Rangers outcast Nedim Bajrami admits he was delighted to play for his country and hopes his starring role with Albania can kickstart his season.
The midfielder has only started one of Rangers' games this season and that was in the Premier Sports Cup against Alloa.
He's come off the bench on five occasions and has only played 31 minutes in the Premiership this season with Russell Martin preferring other options.
He then suffered a huge blow when he was left out of Rangers' Europa League squad for the league phase.
However, he started both of Albania's games in the international break as they beat Gibraltar and Latvia.
And the 26-year-old is hoping he will feature more at Rangers after making 28 league appearances last season.

He said: "It was really good for me to start both games because I have not been playing a lot of football recently at Rangers.
"I felt like it was important I showed what I could do again and took my chance. I believe I repaid the manager with my performances.
"We are all delighted with the two victories and it sets us up for a huge game against Serbia next month.
"It is important for me to return to my club and work hard and focus there.
"Then I will return to the national team next month with hopefully some more playing time."
