Nedim Bajrami delivers Rangers transfer message amid exit speculation

Rangers midfielder Nedim Bajrami insists he's going nowhere despite transfer speculation linking him with a move to Serie A.

The Albanian international was subjected to plenty of criticism during the season for a string of ineffective performances after Rangers splashed out £3.5 million to land him last summer.

He's been linked with a move away from Ibrox with former club Sassuolo reportedly interested in bringing him back to Italy after their promotion to Serie A.

However, Bajrami is determined to hit the ground running under new boss Russell Martin.

The 26-year-old was honoured with a mural in his family's home town of Tetevo depicting his goal for Albania after 26 seconds at Euro 2024 - the fastest-ever goal at the European Championships.

And he was quizzed about his future. Bajrami said: "In football, you never say never. But I am currently focused only on Rangers.

"It is a special emotion to be back in my home town.

"My advice to everyone is to never stop believing in yourself."

Bajrami made 44 appearances for Rangers last season in all competitions and scored five goals for the club, including the opening goal in the League Cup Final against Celtic in December, which they eventually lost on penalties.
