Almost a million doses of the Covid-19 vaccines have been given out to people in our region since the start of the Covid-19 vaccination rollout.
Statistics show there were 973,913 doses that have been injected into people's arms in what's known as the 'Cheshire and Merseyside' Sustainability and Transformation Partnership (STP) up until March 7, the latest date for which statistics have been compiled.
The doses have been given out to people in different age groups.
A total of 353,548 people in the under 60 cohort have had a first dose, which is 25.4% of that age group's population. Another 12,029 have been given a second dose, which is 0.9% of that age group's population.
In the 60 to 64 cohort, a total of 108,346 people have had a first dose, which is 71.5% of that age group's population. And a further 1,567 have been given a second dose, which is 1% of that age group's population.
In the 65-69 age group, a total of 124,096 have had their first dose, which amounts to 90.7% of that age group's population. Another 785 have had a second dose, equating to 0.6% of that age group's population.
In the 70-74 age group, a total of 129,546 have had their first dose, which equates to 97.5% of that age group's population. Another 651 have had a second dose, equating to 0.5% of that age group's population.
While in the 75-79 cohort age group, a total of 92,882 have been given a first dose, which is 99.2% of that age group's population. And further 1,086 have had a second dose, which is 1.2% of that age group's population.
Up to March 7, a total of 128,272 people in the 80+ age group have been given a first dose, which is 94.8% of that age group's population. Another 21,105 have had a second dose, equating to 15.6% of that age group's population.
The Cheshire and Merseyside STP includes NHS Halton CCG, NHS Knowsley CCG, NHS Liverpool CCG, NHS South Sefton CCG, NHS Southport and Formby CCG, NHS St Helens CCG, NHS Warrington CCG, NHS Wirral CCG and NHS Cheshire CCG.
