Almost 900,000 doses of the Covid-19 vaccines have been given out to people in our region since the beginning of the Covid-19 vaccine rollout.
And it is the 75-79 cohort age group which leads the way in having been inoculated the most, with 99% of that age group's population having had the jab.
The latest NHS data shows 884,352 cumulative doses have been given to people up to February 28 in what's called the 'Cheshire and Merseyside' Sustainability and Transformation Partnership.
The Cheshire and Merseyside STP includes NHS Halton CCG, NHS Knowsley CCG, NHS Liverpool CCG, NHS South Sefton CCG, NHS Southport and Formby CCG, NHS St Helens CCG, NHS Warrington CCG, NHS Wirral CCG and NHS Cheshire CCG.
Up to February 28, a total of 382,546 people have been given a fist dose in the under 65 cohort, which is 24.8% of that age group's population. A further 11,316 have been given a second dose, equating to 0.7% of that age group's population.
A total of 119,465 people in the 65 to 69 cohort have had a first dose, which is 87.3% of that age group's population. And 622 have been given a second dose, which is 0.5% of that age group's population.
In the 70-74 age group, a total of 128,910 have had their first dose, which equates to 97.1% of that age group's population. And another 513 have had a second dose, equating to 0.4% of that age group's population.
While in the 75-79 cohort age group, a total of 92,664 have been given a first dose, which is 99% of that age group's population. And further 824 have had a second dose, which is 0.9% of that age group's population.
Up to February 28, a total of 128,455 people in the 80+ age group have also been given a first dose, which is 94.9% of that age group's population. And another 19,037 have had a second dose, equating to 14.1% of that age group's population.
