Triumph Motorcycles America is recalling all 2022 through 2024 units of certain specific models, primarily in its Bonneville lineup. The issue relates to three wires that go between the alternator and the regulator/rectifier on affected bikes. A connector that was installed at the factory may not be up to the variety of factors it may be faced with in normal, everyday operation, and may smoke and/or overheat and cause thermal damage to surrounding components. This could increase the risk of a crash and/or fire.
Approximately 8,849 motorcycles in total across all models are believed to be affected, which represents 100% of the population according to Triumph's records. The faulty component was provided by a third-party supplier called Mahle. Affected units were produced between 2021 and 2023, and are as follows:

Triumph notified its dealer network on February 18, 2026, and sent notification letters to registered owners of affected bikes on February 24, 2026. Owners will be instructed to contact their local authorized Triumph dealer to schedule a recall service appointment to address this issue. During this service, the current two-piece connector body will be replaced with "a single in-line crimped solution for each of the three wires from the alternator assembly."
If customers have already paid to have this issue addressed, they may be eligible for reimbursement provided they have sufficient evidence (such as service receipts) to back their claims.
