Nearly 400 Wrexham workers secure bonus from biopharmaceutical firm for 'hard work' in 2021

Ipsen’s ‘Share the Success’ bonus has been awarded to nearly 400 workers in North Wales to recognise their hard work and commitment that has been crucial to the firm’s success in 2021.

After exceeding their targets for 2021 the biopharmaceutical company has announced the €500 / ~£425 company-wide award that will be received by all employees except those at the highest level of responsibilities.

This means that at the Wrexham site approximately 380 employees will receive the gift before the end of the year.

Matthias Krieger, VP Manufacturing Site, Wrexham, said: “2021 has been a difficult year for everyone, but our Ipsen teams have been brilliant in the face of the ongoing pandemic. It is thanks to the agility and resilience of our teams that we have been able to exceed our 2021 targets and I am particularly proud of the accomplishments at the Wrexham site that have contributed to this.

“Each individual has been instrumental in making this a successful year for Ipsen and so it gives me great pleasure that we are able to share and celebrate our success across the whole organisation by gifting each employee a ‘Share the Success’ award.”

Paul Mee, Operational Excellence Expert, said: “Knowing that our daily work contributes to delivering vital products to patients which need them is hugely rewarding and motivates us to strive for excellence in all that we do.

“However, the ongoing pandemic has meant more challenges, both at work and in our personal lives.

“For our hard work to be recognised by our leadership teams and celebrated company-wide is fantastic.”

Clare Thomas, HR Business Partner, said: " Receiving the ‘Share the Success’ award is a wonderful and welcome surprise. 2021 has brought highs and lows yet, at the Wrexham site, we have continued to work together to deliver and, ultimately, make sure patients have access to the products they need.

"This recognition means we end 2021 in high spirits, ready to take on the exciting things to come in 2022 as a unified and motivated team."
