Nearly 100 Covid-19 deaths now confirmed at Nottingham's hospitals

More people have died from Covid-19 across Nottingham's hospitals.

The most recent figures have been released on Sunday, April 12 by Nottingham University Hospitals Trust, which covers both Queen's Medical Centre and City Hospital.

A further seven patients died between April 9 to April 10, taking the total up to 96.

Dr Keith Girling, medical director at Nottingham University Hospitals said: "Sadly we can confirm that a further seven patients have died having tested positive for Covid-19.

"Regrettably that means that 96 Covid-19 positive patients we were caring for have sadly died since the beginning of March.

"The patients were aged 50 and 90, and died on the April 9 and April 10."

"The families have been informed and our thoughts and condolences are with them at this difficult and distressing time."
