Neal Ardley offers latest injury update on key Notts County trio

Neal Ardley is anxiously awaiting news on star winger Callum Roberts after he picked up a calf problem  as he offered updates on Connell Rawlinson and Damien McCrory.

The trio did not travel to Aldershot for the 1-0 defeat at the EBB Stadium at the weekend and they are now facing a race against time to be fit for the clash against Stockport next Wednesday.

Ardley said Roberts' calf is set to be assessed on Monday and he is also hoping for favourable news on Rawlinson and McCrory as they prepare for the visit of Jim Gannon's side to Meadow Lane.

"Cal just felt his calf in training," he said.

"We don't know how it's going to be. But the problem is that,  if it is a little strain, it could be a bit longer than we hoped.

"We'll see how that reacts Monday. Connell felt rough. He was up all night on Thursday. And he was coughing, spluttering  not in a good way and he didn't look too good either.

"So we have to make a judgment call on that. And Damien  McCrory had a class of shins. It happened on Tuesday,  but it swelled up really badly all around his knee  by Thursday."
