Neal Ardley excited by Notts County's promotion push but expects pressure to mount

Neal Ardley is excited about Notts County's run-in but insists he is relaxed about their promotion push despite admitting the pressure will be on in the last 10 games.

The Magpies climbed to sixth in the National League table as they overcame Chesterfield 3-0 on Saturday night as a stunner from Enzio Boldewijn and two goals from Kyle Wootton sealed all three points.

Ross Fitzsimons, linked with a return to Chesterfield in midweek, also played his part by making a crucial penalty save to deny Scott Boden close to half-time.

The Magpies are now primed for an assault on the playoffs and asked whether he was looking forward to the remainder of the campaign, Magpies boss Ardley said: "I am.

"I was looking at the results and the one thing I take away from my experience of run-ins is that in the last 10 games it becomes real.

"You chip away in the winter months and you get into those last 10 games, you can taste it.

"The pressure then mounts, but we have experience, we have players who have been promoted and I am certainly going to stay relaxed about it.

"If we can keep that nice feel  about it then who knows what we can achieve."
