Ndombele and Bergwijn in, Aurier and Winks out: The Spurs line-up fans want to see vs Newcastle

Tottenham Hotspur will be aiming to extend their unbeaten run to four matches when they travel to St James' Park to face Newcastle United on Wednesday evening.

Spurs will make the long journey north brimming with confidence following Sunday's 2-1 victory over North London rivals Arsenal and will fancy their chances of registering a third win in their last four matches, with Newcastle having stuttered in recent matches.

Sunday's victory over Arsenal was a test of Spurs' mental strength and character, as they had to dig deep to record all three points and get back to winning ways after a poor showing against AFC Bournemouth last Thursday evening.

After getting the better of Mikel Arteta's side on Sunday, which saw defender Toby Alderweireld net the all important winner, head coach Jose Mourinho, who has never won a game at St James' Park in his managerial career, may be tempted to stick with the same starting line-up.

But with such a high amount of games in a reasonably short space of time, the Portuguese chief may be forced into tinkering with his team.

With that in mind, the likes of Japhet Tanganga, Steven Bergwijn and Erik Lamela, who were all on the bench against the Gunners, will be chomping at the bit to force their way back into the starting line-up, offering Mourinho plenty of food for thought.

Ahead of Wednesday evening's tussle on Tyneside, we handed Spurs' fans the chance to step into Mourinho's shoes and select the starting line-up they would select if they were in charge.

Based off of the most popular XI that was selected by the fans, they want to see Mourinho make a total of three changes to his starting line-up that got the better of Arsenal on Sunday.

They want to see Serge Aurier, Harry Winks and Lucas Moura drop out, with Japhet Tanganga, Tanguy Ndombele and Steven Bergwijn come in.
