NEW DELHI: New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) will develop a green toilet-cum-hygiene block at Hanuman Vatika for the convenience of thousands of devotees visiting Prachin Hanuman Mandir.
“The green toilet block will have four seats for ladies, five cabins for gents, one for physically abled person, one for transgender and 10 urinals facilities with the provision of Sewer Treatment Plant having capacity of 15 KLD. Besides, there will be provision of separate bathrooms for men and women with the facility of a sanitary vending machine. A provision for a feeding chamber and diaper changing facility for new born babies will also be made in the same place,” said NDMC vice chairman Satish Upadhyay.
“Effort is being made to make 100% green toilets by recycling water. There will be a provision of a water cooler inside. Proper signage shall be provided at appropriate locations,” he informed. The initiative aims to get a 7-star ranking in Swachhta Surveshan. TNN
