In merely 105 minutes, Korean boy band NCT’s member Taeil Moon has amassed a following of a million users on Instagram. 'Harry Potter' star Rupert Grint and 'Friends' actress Jennifer Aniston previously held the record.
Guinness World Records acknowledged the feat by tweeting, "Congratulations to @NCTsmtown's TAEIL MOON who's set a new record for the fastest time to reach 1M followers on @instagram just one hour and 45 mins! #NCT #NCTU." According to the official website of the agency, Taeil has set the Guinness World Record for the ‘fastest time to reach 1 million Instagram followers.’ In just one hour and 45 minutes after posting his first tweet, Taeil had a million followers.
His Instagram account now has 1.8 million followers less than a week after it was launched. He has only five posts on the photo-sharing platform so far, and follows just seven individuals, all of whom are members of the NCT band.

Grint, who debuted his Instagram account by announcing the birth of his daughter in November 2020, had surpassed the million-followers mark in four hours and one minute. Aniston was one of the previous record-holders after garnering the same amount of followers in five hours and sixteen minutes with her first Instagram post with her Friend’s castmates.
