NAVI MUMBAI: After residents' opposition to auctioning of a plot in the CRZ area in Nerul, NCP MP Supriya Sule tweeted chief minister Eknath Shinde, requesting him to examine the issue as residents feel the move would impact mangroves.
Residents claim the 25,000 sqmt plot cannot be auctioned by Cidco as NMMC has rights over it as per an announcement made by then deputy CM Ajit Pawar in the Assembly. Former MP Sanjeev Naik, too, has backed residents against auctioning .
