NCBI open new Dublin pop-up shop just before Christmas

The NCBI has opened its newest retail shop in Dublin 1, which boasts a new, modernised look and feel, supported by a sustainable fit-out.

The Capel Street shop is the newest in NCBI’s network of 130 shops, which support life-changing services for people who are blind or vision impaired.

Beverley Scallan, Head of Retail at NCBI said: “Our new Capel Street store provides another opportunity for NCBI to not only make a real difference to the lives of our service users, but also our impact on the environment. Capel Street is the latest in our network to be transformed with a new look and feel that will become the gold standard for NCBI stores nationwide in the months and years to come.

“Like NCBI shops have in all corners of Ireland, we hope that the Capel Street NCBI shop will become one of the most important resources to the local community in Dublin 1 and neighbouring areas.”

It is also the latest shop to be at the forefront of NCBI’s push to make its retail outlets as environmentally friendly as possible.

Although the look inside NCBI shops is changing, a shopper’s ability to bag a bargain or find a hidden gem certainly will not. Our pre-loved clothes, accessories and homeware items and more in Capel Street, and stores around the country, provide the perfect hunting ground for a last-minute Christmas bargain for those nearest and dearest to you. Donations will also be gratefully accepted at Capel Street or any other NCBI shop around Ireland.

NCBI’s chain of shops, which is the second largest in Ireland, plays a vital and integral part in the charity’s overall fundraising efforts, allowing the national sight loss agency to provide vital life-changing services to over 8,000 people each year, many of whom live in Dublin.
