MUMBAI: NCB have submitted draft charges against all 35 accused in drugs case probed in connection with death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput in 2020. Among the accused are his then girlfriend actor Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik Chakraborty; and his staff members.
All three are out on bail. After hearing arguments on the proposed charges , the court will decide which charges, if any, are to be framed against the accused or if they are to be dropped.
Subsequently, if the court does frame charges, the accused then plead either not guilty or guilty. In case they plead not guilty, trial commences. Few accused have also moved pleas seeking discharge from the case. The matter will come up for hearing on July 12.
