After a selfie of Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan with an unidentified man during his recent interrogation with The Narcotics Control Bureau went viral on social media, the agency has come forward to issue a clarification and asserted that the man is not a part of the investigating agency.

"NCB categorically clarifies that the man in this picture with Aryan Khan is not an officer or employee of NCB," the NCB officials said in a statement.

Earlier on Saturday evening, Aryan Khan was detained by the NCB after they conducted a surprise drugs raid aboard a cruise liner where he was reportedly partying. Following this, on Sunday, the investigating team arrested all eight persons who were detained in connection with the Mumbai cruise party raid.

Three accused including Aryan Khan, actor Arbaz Seth Merchant, and Munmun Dhamecha were remanded to NCB custody by the Esplanade Court in Mumbai till today.

Meanwhile, Aryan is likely to apply for bail today. His lawyer Satish Maneshinde claimed that his client was invited to the event being held on the cruise by the organizers and said "No incriminating material has been recovered from him (Aryan Khan). There is no possession or evidence of consumption. Although the sections under which Aryan Khan has been booked are all bailable offences, I am willing to settle for one day's NCB custody so that we can file for bail before the regular court.”

Aryan’s bail hearing will be held today afternoon.
