NCAA makes tough decision on former Georgia TE Luke Ford’s waiver appeal

Former Georgia football tight end Luke Ford announced his departure from the program in early January due to the illness of his grandfather back home.

Ford transferred to the University of Illinois, on the same day Isaac Nauta officially declared for the NFL Draft, leaving Georgia in need of a new tight end.

The Carterville, Illinois native applied for an eligibility waiver from the NCAA but was denied of his request back in April. Ford appealed the decision and unfortunately, the NCAA did not change its mind.

We cannot believe the incompetence of the NCAA in this decision but Ford seems to be taking the news well.

Shame on you NCAA for being so inconsistent and pathetic in your waiver acceptances.
