Long-time newsreader Jane Goldsmith has announced she will say goodbye to NBN News after 25 years working for the network.
In a social media post on Thursday, Goldsmith said that night's 6pm bulletin was her last.
"I'm grateful to have worked alongside an outstanding team, past and present, bringing you the local stories that matter," she said.
"My colleagues and dear friends will continue to do that - please continue to support them."
As her last hour on-air with NBN News came to a close, Goldsmith thanked the viewers.
"25 years on the road and behind the desk and I've loved every minute of it but now it is time to go," she said.
"So, as always, from the entire team, including those behind the scenes, thanks for your company."
Her departure follows the station's new owner WIN Television announcing a restructure.
The changes will gut at least 19 journalists, presenters and camera operators from newsrooms in Newcastle, Central Coast, Coffs Harbour, Tamworth and Lismore.
Despite more than 6000 viewers signing a petition demanding WIN reconsider, staff were told the restructure will take effect from June 29.
Under WIN's control, weekend bulletins from the local station were also cut.
The traditional 6pm weeknight news will be replaced with a pre-recorded, 30-minute local bulletin from 5.30pm beginning June 27.
During their final Sunday bulletin on June 22, Goldsmith was joined by sports presenter Adam Murray and weather presenter Lauren Kempe.
Closing out the bulletin, Goldsmith gave a heartfelt message to viewers.
"To our many loyal viewers, thank you for your continued support," she said.
"I've been honoured to join you every weekend for 16 years. But for now, from the weekend team, goodnight."
