NBL locks in round-one fixture for Bullets

The Brisbane Bullets will host The Hawks in front of a reduced home crowd for their NBL opener. (AAP)

The Brisbane Bullets' round-one NBL fixture has been confirmed, with a date against The Hawks locked in for Saturday at Nissan Arena.

The NBL has been forced to rejig its round-one fixture three times, and the Bullets' schedule was thrown into further doubt following Queensland's recent COVID-19 scare.

The capacity for Saturday's Bullets-Hawks match will be capped at 50 per cent in accordance with public health directions.

The game will mark the return of master coach Brian Goorjian, who is now leading the Hawks.

The Hawks have been bolstered by the addition of NBA talent Justinian Jessup and Deng Adel.

Bullets coach Andrej Lemanis is aiming to return his team to the finals, and they will boast former Orlando Magic small forward Vic Law.

"It will be great to have the NBL back in Brisbane and to be able to have fans live in venue for what should be a fantastic game to help open the new season," NBL commissioner Jeremy Loeliger said.

The Perth Wildcats and New Zealand Breakers are in quarantine and unable to feature in round one.
