NBA world reacts to news that Klay Thompson tore his ACL in Game 6 loss

The Golden State Warriors not only lost the NBA championship on Thursday night, but they lost another star player late in the game when Klay Thompson suffered a knee injury after landing awkwardly in the third quarter.

He heroically came back onto the court to shoot a pair of free throws right after the injury but then was done for the game moments later and then the Warriors went on to lose Game 6 at home.

And now we don’t know when we’ll next see him on a basketball court because according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Thompson suffered a torn ACL in his left knee and will miss a significant amount of time next season.

The team later made it official:

Thompson, of course, is set to become a free agent in a few weeks, so now his future, like Durant’s, is full of questions.
