NBA Twitter wants Lakers to guarantee Avery Bradley’s contract

The Los Angeles Lakers have to make a decision this week whether to keep Avery Bradley.

Bradley, who the Lakers claimed off waivers after the Golden State Warriors parted ways with him after the preseason, is on a non-guaranteed contract.

His deal of $2.6 million for one year becomes guaranteed on Jan. 7, so if the Lakers choose to cut him prior to that date, they don’t have to pay him for the rest of the season. If they do, Bradley stays on the team until the summer.

Bradley has become a mainstay in the starting lineup and has averaged 6.1 points on 39.6% shooting from deep while being one of the team’s best perimeter defenders, an area of weakness.

It’s not clear what the front office will do, but NBA Twitter wants Bradley on board for the rest of the year:
