NBA Twitter reacts to the Rockets losing Game 2

The Houston Rockets are facing an 0-2 hole in the Western Conference Semifinals after James Harden suffered a nasty eye injury in the first quarter and the Warriors held on for a wire-to-wire victory. Complaints over officiating dominated the talk surrounding Game 1, but aside from Chris Paul mocking a referee after a foul call, the officials were overshadowed on Tuesday night by injuries to two superstar players.

Harden suffered a lacerated eyelid due to a swipe from Draymond Green, and was forced to temporarily leave the game. Harden was able to return and finished with 29 points, but he was clearly struggling and said after the game that he “barely could see.” Golden State’s Stephen Curry suffered a dislocated finger on his left hand in the first quarter, but returned and scored 20 points to help the Warriors to a 115-109 lead.

The Rockets entered the series with a great chance to potentially end the Warriors’ dynasty, but many fans are already giving up hope on seeing a new Finals representative from the Western Conference.
