NBA Twitter reacts to Steph Curry’s 46 point performance against the Grizzlies to clinch the No. 8 seed in the play-in tournament

Despite only nine points in the opening frame on 4-of-9 shooting from the field and 1-of-5 shooting from beyond the arc behind tight defense from Memphis Grizzlies guard Dillon Brooks, Steph Curry caught fire for the Golden State Warriors.

With the No. 8 seed in the Western Conference play-in tournament on the line, Curry didn’t miss. The seven-time All-Star guard detonated against the Grizzlies, scoring a sizzling 46 points on 16-of-36 shooting from the field. Curry notched 30 of his game-high 46 point effort in the second half alone.

Curry torched the Grizzlies from deep, drilling nine 3-pointers on 22 long-distance attempts. When Memphis cut into Golden State’s lead late, the two-time Most Valuable Player tacked on four 3-pointers in the fourth quarter, including a dagger from way beyond the arc.

On the way to clinching the No. 8 seed in the Western Conference play-in, Curry claimed the 2020-21 scoring title over Washington Wizards guard Bradley Beal.

Curry finished the season averaging 32 points per game on 48.3% shooting from the field and 42.1% from 3-point range, notching the second scoring title of his career. The 33-year-old guard became the oldest scoring champ in the association since Michael Jordan in 1998.

While Curry cooked against the Grizzlies, the NBA community on Twitter exploded with a flurry of reactions to his performance. Here is a look at some of the top tweets from Sunday.
