NBA Twitter reacts to Steph Curry’s 33 point performance during Warriors’ win vs. Clippers

Carrying a six-game win streak, the Golden State Warriors made the trip to Hollywood for a matinee contest against the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday afternoon.

After a slow start in the first quarter that resulted in a flurry of turnovers, the Warriors closed the gap against the Clippers in the second quarter to steal a two-point advantage heading into the locker room. After building on their small lead in the third quarter, the Warriors closed the door on the Clippers in the final frame behind an explosive performance from Steph Curry.

Golden State’s Most Valuable Player candidate dropped a game-high 33 points on 12-of-22 shooting from the field. Curry got hot after receiving a technical foul, scoring 13 points in the fourth quarter. The 33-year-old guard hit three of his seven 3-pointers in the final 12 minutes.

Along with a flurry of triples from Curry, the Warriors defense showed up again, limiting the Clippers to 90 points. Outside of a 30 point performance from Paul George, only two other members of the Clippers recorded double-figures in scoring with 13 points each. The Warriors forced 24 turnovers against the Clippers on Sunday on the way to a 105-90 victory in Los Angeles.

After the Warriors improved their league-best record to 18-2, the NBA community on Twitter weighed in with different reactions. Below is a look at what fans and analysts were saying about Golden State’s performance on Sunday afternoon.
