The NBA announced its award winners on Monday for the first Rookie of the Month of the 2023-24 regular season. Oklahoma City Thunder center Chet Holmgren was named the winner of the October/November Western Conference Rookie of the Month.
This shouldn’t be a surprise as Holmgren has quickly become the early favorite for the Rookie of the Year award. The 21-year-old has been a staple in OKC’s early success with a 13-6 record.
In 19 games, Holmgren is averaging 17.6 points on 53.1% shooting, eight rebounds, 2.2 blocks and 2.6 assists. He’s shooting 39.5% from 3 on 4.3 attempts.
