NBA Twitter had so many jokes when Jared Dudley asked for an edit of him with his new number

Jared Dudley signed a one-year deal with the Los Angeles Lakers this offseason after spending 2018-19 with the Brooklyn Nets.

And Dudley, being the active Twitter user that he is, wanted to get his avatar up to date with a photo of him with the Lakers. He changed his avatar to him wearing No. 6 in a Lakers uniform, but on Monday, he learned that he would be taking No. 2 — the former jersey number of now-Pelicans guard Lonzo Ball.

So, Dudley needed some help here. He asked Twitter to make a Photoshopped version of him wearing a No. 2 Lakers jersey, and he offered some home preseason tickets to the best entry.

Dudley’s first mistake here was expecting an earnest effort from NBA Twitter because that was never going to happen — at least for such a lame prize (PRESEASON?! C’mon, Jared).

His replies were bombarded with a series of bad Photoshop efforts, and honestly, they were all hilarious.

Take a bow, NBA Twitter. Dudley needs to offer some regular season tickets next time around.

Update: And after all that, Dudley ended up giving the number to Quinn Cook.
