NBA trades: What time does the 2020 trade deadline expire?

Several NBA stars could be on the move in the coming days, as the league approaches the 2020 trade deadline.

Kevin Love, Andre Drummond and D’Angelo Russell are a few of the All-Star players who have been linked to trade speculation, but fans will only have to wait until Thursday to see how the league is reshaped heading into the playoff push.

The 2020 NBA trade deadline is set at 3:00 p.m. ET on Thursday, February 6th.

For a trade to go through on deadline day, all paperwork for the agreed deal must be filed prior to the 3:00 p.m. cutoff – which means trades may be announced after the deadline.

The 2020 playoff eligibility waiver deadline is March 1st, which means all players who secure buyouts after the deadline will need to sign by that date to be eligible for postseason action.
