Play by Play Studios has shared a new dunk video showcasing newly announced NBA stars Anthony Edwards, Zion Williamson and Ja Morant. It marks the first look at in-game footage since last year and offers another glimpse at the fast-paced, above-the-rim action the studio is building. Additional NBA players have been revealed over the past few weeks as the roster continues to grow toward roughly 30 launch athletes, with more expected beyond that.
NBA THE RUN focuses on quick, online 3v3 matchups set on iconic streetball courts around the world. Players can take control of their favorite NBA stars, stack wins, earn cred and chase their spot as the GOAT of The Run. The team has been revealing new NBA stars for the playable roster over the past few weeks. An updated YouTube playlist featuring character reveals is available for anyone who wants to catch up on the latest additions.
The project is led by Scott Probst, alongside industry veterans including creative director Michael Young, known for his work on the NBA Street series and more than a decade as creative director on Madden. NBA THE RUN is scheduled to release later this year on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Steam.
