Antjuan Lambert, the 35-year-old bodyguard who shoved Bucks forward P.J. Tucker in Milwaukee on Thursday night, is suspended from court duty for the rest of the series. As Nets star Kevin Durant and Tucker got into it in the third quarter of Game 3, Lambert unnecessarily rushed the court and shouldered Tucker away from Durant.
Lambert “was hired by the team at the request of Durant after he worked for Durant personally,” according to The Athletic.
The NBA’s statement leaves a little wiggle room for Lambert to attend games in Brooklyn but just watch from the stands.
He “will not work any remaining games of this series in Milwaukee and will not be assigned to the court area in Brooklyn during this series,” according to the New York Times.
Bucks players Jrue Holiday and Bobby Portis both said the Lambert’s actions were over the line.
Lambert’s LinkedIn lists him as the Nets’ Director of Security, as well as the same job for the Warriors from 2018-19, when Durant played there.
