NBA rescinds DeMarcus Cousins’ technical foul for throwing a shoe

During Monday night’s impressive win over the Charlotte Hornets, DeMarcus Cousins was assessed with a technical foul for tossing Jeremy Lamb’s shoe off the court in the middle of game action. The technical came with about 4:50 left to play in the game and the call confused just about everyone.

However, according to Mark Medina, the NBA has rescinded the call, saving Cousins $3,000 in fines and a tech off his season-long record.

The NBA rescinded a technical foul called on DeMarcus Cousins for tossing a shoe off the court during the Warriors’ win over the Charlotte Hornets on Monday, Bay Area News Group learned.

Aside from the technical foul, Cousins had a phenomenal game. He recorded his fourth consecutive double-double with a 24 point, 11 rebound performance to go along with his three blocks. The 24 points were the most he’s scored on the season and the 31 minutes were also a season high.

The Warriors are back in action on Wednesday night when they travel to Miami in hopes to improve on their 43-17 record.
