NBA reports no positive coronavirus tests for third week in a row

Another week, another report of zero coronavirus tests out of the NBA bubble.

None of the 343 players tested since July 29 received positive coronavirus results, league announced in its COVID-19 report Wednesday afternoon.

This is the third clean week in a row. There have been no positive results on the NBA’s report since July 13, when two players had received positive tests.

The players were successfully isolated and, three weeks later, it is clear the virus did not spread through the bubble. On a week when the MLB continued struggling with the pandemic and 13 members of the St. Louis Cardinals tested positive, the NBA remained coronavirus-free.

Now, the league isn’t worried about getting the season resumed: It has moved on to keeping it rolling now that play is back.

Almost a week into the resumption, the Oklahoma City Thunder have won one game and lost another with their third game approaching Wednesday evening.
