NBA releases 2019-20 schedule of Rockets’ Classic, City jersey games

The NBA on Tuesday released the latest version of its LockerVision website, which has detailed information about which uniforms teams will wear for all 82 of their games in the 2019-20 regular season.

For the Houston Rockets, this most notably includes their new, one-season-only “Classic” jerseys. From the team’s website:

The new ketchup-and-mustard colored “Classic” jersey celebrates 25 seasons since the Rockets went back-to-back after winning the 1994-95 NBA Championship. The colors and design of the uniform are the same as that historic season, but the jersey and shorts will be made with current performance material. The uniform will be worn only for the upcoming season and showcases a contrast in style with the uniforms of today. Some of the most notable differences are the original U-shaped neckline and the lack of a team logo on the belt line.

From LockerVision, we now know which games that the Rockets will wear that uniform set. With one exception, these are all of the team’s Friday games, home and away, beginning Nov. 15:

Houston will also debut a new “City” jersey on Saturday, Nov. 30 in a home game against the Atlanta Hawks. The Rockets are then scheduled to wear that City set in all Saturday games for the remainder of the season, home and away.

The City uniform set will not be publicly released until November.

In total, Houston will have five uniforms sets this season. The Rockets will continue to use their black “Statement” jerseys from last season, while the red “Icon” and white “Association” jerseys were significantly changed to incorporate a new font, modernized side panels, and the inclusion of black as a core color. Those three sets, along with the aforementioned Classic uniform, were released in June.

All jerseys except the City ones (which have yet to be released) are now available for fans to purchase.
