NBA power rankings roundup: Thunder impressing analysts with competitiveness

Instead of only using the usual section dedicated ESPN’s power ranking, we’re going to pull one quote to the top of this article, simply because it’s funny and not completely inaccurate. Royce Young wrote:

“If we’ve learned anything from OKC this season, it could start two members off its PR staff and probably still be competitive.”

I mean … yeah. That’s the way it’s looking. National analysts who put together power rankings around the NBA were impressed by the Thunder’s win over the Houston Rockets, a game in which OKC sat four starters.

There was little change overall for the Thunder in the rankings this week, as they went 1-2 overall. Here’s a rundown of OKC’s placement in power rankings released by major outlets on Monday.

As a note, these power rankings were all published prior to the Thunder’s win over the Minnesota Timberwolves, so keep that in mind if you think that victory should change the perception of the team.
