NBA postponing Warriors vs. Nuggets game on Thursday due to health and safety protocol

After battling at Chase Center on Tuesday, the Golden State Warriors and Denver Nuggets were slated to meet in a back-to-back rematch on Thursday at the Pepsi Center. However, the rematch will have to wait another day.

The NBA has postponed Golden State’s game in Denver on Thursday due to health and safety protocols. With multiple players in the league’s COVID-19 protocol, the Nuggets do not have the league minimum of eight available players to play on Thursday.

Prior to Thursday’s game, Denver’s Jeff Green, Bones Hyland and Zeke Nnaji entered the league’s COVID-19 health and safety protocol. Michael Porter Jr., Jamal Murray, P.J. Dozier and Markus Howard were also ruled out for the Nuggets on Thursday with different injuries.

Draymond Green, James Wiseman and Damion Lee are also in the NBA’s COVID-19 health and safety protocol for the Warriors.

Golden State will now have two days before traveling to meet the Utah Jazz on New Year’s Day at 6 p.m. PT.
