NBA postpones Tuesday’s game between Lakers and Clippers in L.A.

The NBA has announced that Tuesday night’s scheduled game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Los Angeles Clippers will be postponed and scheduled for a later date.

The decision, according to the league, was made out of respect for the Lakers organization, which is still in a state of grief after the tragic death of Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna and seven other people, in a helicopter crash on Sunday.

Tickets for the game had been going for nearly 5x the normal price, with secondary ticket seller StubHub even offering to have all fees go to the Kobe and Vanessa Bryant foundation.

The Lakers organization has yet to make any official statement on Bryant’s death. LeBron James, as well, has not made any official statements during an understandably difficult time for him, the Lakers and the Bryant family.

The Lakers do not play again until Friday against the Portland Trail Blazers. The Clippers don’t play again until Thursday against the Sacramento Kings.
