The NBA Playoffs are currently in the midst of a great second round; how have Michigan State players fared thus far? We take a look at every players’ performance through two rounds, except for Kalin Lucas who never touched the court for the Pistons in their round one defeat to the Bucks.
Bryn Forbes, G, San Antonio Spurs
Bryn Forbes was a key player in the Spurs contest with the Nuggets. The Spurs inevitably lost in the seventh and final game, but Forbes scored 10.7 points-per-game on a ridiculous 48.4% from three.
The Nuggets went on to play the Blazers.
Gary Harris, G, Denver Nuggets
Last night I watched the now infamous battle between the Nuggets and the Portland Trail Blazers. The game went to a stunning FOUR OVERTIME PERIODS before the game concluded with Portland taking a 2-1 series lead. Harris clocked in 55 (!) minutes in this game, scoring just 13 points but playing an important role on defense.
Harris has been averaging 13.9 points per game for the Nuggets.
Draymond Green, F, Golden State Warriors
Draymond Green is one of my favorite players, mostly because he’s so hated in the league, and also because he’s a Spartan. One of the most important players on a team labeled ‘unbeatable,’ Draymond has been fantastic for the Warriors in these playoffs thus far.
Averaging 12.6 points-per-game while anchoring the defense, Green was instrumental in leading the Warriors past the Clippers. The Warriors now hold a 2-0 lead on the Houston Rockets and start game three in about twenty minutes.
