NBA journeyman Luke Ridnour is traded to his fifth team in six days

June 30--Luke Ridnour spent the last five days as a member of the Oklahoma City Thunder.

For the veteran NBA guard these days, that must have seemed like an eternity.

Ridnour was traded for the fourth time in six days Tuesday morning, as the Thunder sent him and some cash to the Toronto Raptors in exchange for a trade exception and the rights to forward Tomislav Zubcic.

After averaging 4.0 points a game in his only season with Orlando last year, Ridnour was traded by the Magic on Wednesday to Memphis for the draft rights to forward Janis Timma.

The next day, the Grizzlies traded Ridnour to Charlotte for former Clipper and Laker Matt Barnes. Hours later, the Hornets sent Ridnour and a conditional 2016 second-round pick to Oklahoma City for Jeremy Lamb.

And now -- at least for the time being -- Ridnour is a member of the Raptors.

Ridnour was a first-round draft pick (14th overall) for the Seattle SuperSonics in 2003. In the 12 seasons since then, he has played for a total of five teams, including three in the past two seasons.

So he was already considered a journeyman even before this off-season began. Someone's going to have to come up with a new word to describe Ridnour's NBA journey after this past week.
