With the Los Angeles Lakers on the precipice of missing the playoffs for the sixth season in a row and doing so in their first season without LeBron James would set off some major changes. And those changes would almost certainly start at the head of the Lakers bench, Luke Walton.
Yahoo’s Chris Haynes was the first to suggest Walton will be the first to go and that sentiment was echoed on Monday by Marc Stein of the New York Times.
Even before the reports from two of the league’s most plugged-in reporters, oddsmakers were already taking bets on the Lakers next coach and Walton was already a longshot on those odds.
