NBA Finals: Heat will be without Goran Dragic in Game 2 vs. Lakers

In addition to being without their All-Star center Bam Adebayo, the Miami Heat will also be without another key contributor to their phenomenal playoff run as they try to even their best-of-seven NBA Finals series against LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and the Los Angeles Lakers. Only a few hours after news broke the Heat would be without Adebayo in Game 2 of the 2020 NBA Finals, The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported that the Heat would be without Goran Dragic in Game 2 after Dragic suffered a torn plantar in his left foot in Game 1. Miami is now down two starters and will have to turn to players who haven’t seen very much action in these playoffs.

We don’t know exactly how the Heat will respond to the injuries and the Lakers going with a big lineup starring Dwight Howard at center alongside Anthony Davis. Without Dragic, it would make sense if the Heat turn to Kendrick Nunn, who was the starter at point guard for Miami in 67 games this season.
