Last month Russell Westbrook asked the Houston Rockets to trade him. On Wednesday night, he got the news that they had done just that.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the Rockets have traded Westbrook to the Washington Wizards in return for John Wall and a 2023 protected first-round pick.
Wow.
Westbrook spent just one season in Houston after being traded from the Oklahoma City Thunder, where spent the first 10 years of his career.
Wall, meanwhile, missed all of last season and hasn’t played in a game since he tore his Achilles in December of 2018.
