NBA fans loved Anthony Hamilton’s national anthem performance at All-Star Game

What a difference a year makes.

Because 12 months after Fergie sang one of the most talked about (not in a good way, for the most part) national anthems before the start of the 2018 NBA All-Star Game, we had Anthony Hamilton sing Sunday night’s anthem and it was immediately loved by a lot of fans.

Hamilton is a 48-year-old Charlotte native who is best known for his platinum-selling album Comin’ from Where I’m From in 2003 which had the hit song “Charlene” on it. He’s also been nominated for17 Grammy Awards.

He took to center court before #TeamLeBron faced #TeamGiannis faced off at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte and nailed this performance:
