Team USA was eliminated from the FIBA World Cup on Wednesday in a loss to France that really shouldn’t have surprised anyone.
But that didn’t stop NBA fans from making all kinds of jokes about the Boston Celtics.
That’s because the team had a whopping four members of the Celts on it: Jaylon Brown, Marcus Smart, Jayson Tatum and newly-signed star point guard Kemba Walker.
So of course everyone ragged on the Celtics because that’s what inevitably happens on social media, and when you think about it, it’s kind of amusing that there were four Celtics on one national team that lost.
