Chris Paul and the Phoenix Suns opened a 26-point lead late in the fourth quarter Wednesday night in Los Angeles when a time out was called by the Clippers and the teams headed to their benches.
And that’s when things turned ugly.
Patrick Beverley walked past Paul on the way to the bench but then stopped, turned, and walked up to Paul and pushed him hard from behind. The push sent Paul flying to the ground and led to Beverley’s ejection.
It was a wild moment that was easily caught by the cameras because it was right there in the middle of everything.

The Suns went on to win the game, 130-103, to win the series and advance to the NBA Finals.
