NBA fans can’t get enough of Tyronn Lue snubbing Rich Paul’s handshake on opening night

The NBA season isn’t even a day old, and we already have our first fan-shot video to take over NBA Twitter.

Ahead of Tuesday night’s opener between the Clippers and Lakers, someone took video of the Clippers’ Paul George going up to greet Klutch Sports founder (and LeBron’s agent) Rich Paul. Clippers assistant coach Tyronn Lue followed behind George, and when Paul reached out to shake hands with Lue, the superagent was left hanging.

Lue said something to Paul, looked at his hand and then walked away.

Though it’s difficult to tell from a grainy cellphone video, Lue did appear to be joking with Paul. Both George and Paul were laughing over the snub, but again, it’s impossible to draw conclusions from an out-of-context interaction taken 15 rows back.

It was enough, however, to catch the attention of NBA fans.

If the interaction was serious, that would have been a pretty awkward exchange for Lue to let play out in front of a packed arena. But it did really look like Lue was joking around, especially judging from George’s reaction.

Either way, it’s great to have you back, NBA. Keep the drama coming.
