The patch notes for the NBA 2K26 v1.4 update have been announced for all available platforms. It fixes a few more bugs ahead of season two.
Visual Concepts has been busy fixing some of the significant issues that have negatively impacted the game's performance. With season two coming in October, there aren't any considerable gameplay tweaks. But the latest patch fixes more irritating bugs that have been causing problems for players in the MyCareer mode.
Let's look at the full patch notes and see when they go live.

Once again, there are no gameplay changes to announce. This has been a recurring theme with the three previous updates as well. As things stand, it seems rather unlikely that there will be any gameplay changes ahead of v2.0 (likely to be released with the new season).
That said, here are the key changes of the new patch.
The City
- Numerous fixes to game stability in The City have been made.
- Resolved an issue with matchmaking that prevented locker rooms from properly filling; additional matchmaking improvements and optimizations will be arriving over the next week.
- Resolved an issue that could cause outdated Daily Challenges to appear on the tracking list.
MyCareer
- Build Specialization progress has been re-enabled when playing NBA games.
Once you get this update, you can take advantage of the Build Specialization feature. A critical issue that had locked the feature a few days ago has now been resolved.
Just like the last few patches, the v1.4 update will be going live on all Gen 9 versions of the game. It will be available on Sept. 18 for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 users, followed by a later date on PC. It should download automatically once you turn on your platforms, and you'll be good to go.
