As NBA 2K26 is getting ready to start Season 3 tomorrow (November 28), we have a lot of festive flair to look forward to. Just before the release, the NBA 2K account on Twitter/X has also revealed a refreshingly strong soundtrack lineup headlined by Jay-Z, Outkast, Daft Punk, Juice WRLD, and The Weeknd. The courtside playlist sees some major upgrades this season, with fan-favorite classics and modern hits now blasting through MyCAREER, MyTEAM, and The Park.

Season 3 Is Looking Good
The included tracks showcase a strong playlist. It looks like Season 3 will be leaning into nostalgia and hip-hop staples that have defined basketball culture for decades. This is especially true with Nas, Jay-Z, and Outkast sharing the same in-game rotation as The Weeknd, Juice WRLD, and Miguel. That blend is exactly what longtime players have wanted from 2K beats: a mix of basketball heritage and mainstream energy, not just TikTok trends.

Anyway, the visuals are also getting an improvement in terms of vibes, with the return of Sunset Beach from NBA 2K16. The court is completely remastered with ocean views, a volcano backdrop, fish tanks, neon courts, and resort aesthetics. It’s very clearly a play at winning back longtime fans who’ve been begging for classic Park settings instead of futuristic steel-themed courts. Sunset Beach was highly popular and beloved, so it’s great to see its return.
We’ll also be getting a mix of cosmetics and unlockables for NBA 2K26. This is being headlined by Master P’s full No Limit branded collection, which includes jerseys from the iconic music video and the flashy chain. If you’re buying the Pro Pass or Hall of Fame Pass, you’ll also get access to premium cosmetics like cyber helmets, ski masks, and the Ginger G.O.A.T mascot.
It does feel like 2K is tapping back into the NBA identity with this Season 3 update. We have some great tracks, nostalgia, viral moments, and great collaborations.
