Jumpshots are one of the most valuable skills to learn in NBA 2K26. No matter if you’re a dunk-focused SG or a playmaking Center, using a jumpshot you’re comfortable with will always come in handy.
Picking one just because it looks cool might lead to hitting the rim more times than you can count. To help with that today, we’ve compiled a list of the 10 best jumpshots in NBA 2K26 currently. While you can’t copy a jumpshot without practice, you can definitely find one from this list that fits you best.
We’ve categorized the jumpshots according to the base and release blend they use. If you have a favourite player, you could always try perfecting one that uses their animation. Let’s take a look at which jumpshots made the cut.
Best Jumpshots In NBA 2K26, Ranked
Ray Allen & D.Vassell/Q.Grimes

Base: Ray Allen
Upper Release 1: Devin Vassell
Upper Release 2: Quentin Grimes
Blend: 68/32
Our first entry is an R. Allen base combined with a D. Vassell and Q. Grimes upper release, featuring a 68-32 blend. The release speed is set to Very Quick, and your visual cue should be at the release. This gives you the largest green window amongst visual cues, ensuring you have ample time to time your shot perfectly. The downside, however, is that this animation is slower, giving defenders the chance to contest your shots.
The shot attributes are pretty good overall, with an A in both Release Height and Defensive Immunity, an A+ in Release Speed, and a B in Timing Stability. This build is tailored more towards newer players who require a larger green window to perfect their shot, but with an A+ in Release Speed, you can cover up your slow throwing animation. Player height requirements are between 6’5” to 6’10”, while attribute requirements are 89 MRS or 89 TPS.
Carmelo Anthony & S.Bey/R.Gay

Base: Carmelo Anthony
Upper Release 1: Sadaiq Bey
Upper Release 2: Rudy Gay
Blend: 60/40
Next up, we have a build from popular YouTuber Double H, featuring the Carmelo Anthony base with an S. Bey and R. Gay upper release. The blend will be more equal this time, going 60/40. Now, this jump shot is not for beginners, as the visual cue is set at Push. This means that your green window only extends from Jump to Push, not till Release. You’ll have to be quick; otherwise, the green window will expire. In turn, you get a faster shot animation, leading to fewer contests.
This build prioritizes Release Speed over all else, which is why it has an A+ in Release Speed. Release Height, Defensive Immunity, and Timing Stability are C+, B, and C+, respectively. Low ratings in Release Height and Defensive Immunity can be concerning sometimes, since contests from taller players can be troublesome. But if you can master your green window, you’re bound to score. The attribute requirements are 6’5” to 6’10” height and either 84 MRS or 84 TPS.
Jonathan Isaac & D.Nowitzki/Beluba

Base: Jonathan Isaac
Upper Release 1: Dirk Nowitzki
Upper Release 2: Beluba
Blend: 83/17
At No.3, we have an 83/17 blend between the upper release of D.Nowtizki and Beluba. The base you’ll use is Jonathan Isaac, slightly shortening the green window. If you were looking for builds that are primarily for taller players, this is the one for you. This jumpshot can only be used by players 6’10” or above with at least a 72 in MRS or TPS. While the attribute requirement is pretty low, you should consider whether using this jumpshot is a good fit for you. Here’s why:
This jumpshot has its visual cue slightly ahead of the Push animation, meaning a shorter green window. The release speed is set to Very Quick, so knowing the ideal time to shoot is key. You will have the safety of good shot attributes, with both Defensive Immunity and Release Speed at A, and Release Height at A+. The only downside is that Timing Stability is at F, meaning it will be hard to make precise shots while moving. Overall, it’s a solid jumpshot build, but one that’s made for amateurs or above.
Allen Iverson & Beluba/LaMelo Ball

Base: Allen Iverson
Upper Release 1: Beluba
Upper Release 2: LaMelo Ball
Blend: 50/50
It’s rare to see a blend go 50/50, but that’s the case with this Beluba and L.Ball jumpshot build. You want to pick an Allen Iverson base for smoother animation and a longer green window. The release speed is set to Very Quick in this one as well, but since the green window runs longer, the chances of getting contested are higher. The trade-off depends on what you’re willing to sacrifice and how good you are at perfecting the greening window.
This build has solid shot attributes. A+ in both Release Speed and Release Height, A in Defensive Immunity, and C in Timing Stability. For your attribute requirements, you need at least an 87 in MRS or TPS and must be above 6’5”. Builds with an 87 in TPS usually don’t require getting too close to the paint, so if you’re good at positioning, this build should work out. However, if you’re on the shorter side like 6’5” or 6’6”, you might find difficulty with getting contested.
Matt Ryan & Beluba/C.Bassey

Base: Matt Ryan
Upper Release 1: Beluba
Upper Release 2: Charles Bassey
Blend: 55/45
We’ve once again got a Beluba blend, but this time with C.Bassey. The blend will be 55/45 with a Matt Ryan base. The major difference in this build is that the release speed is set to Quick, something we haven’t seen in any of the previous jumpshots. The green window ends somewhere in between the Push and Release cues, so it’s best to set your visual cue to Push, ensuring you don’t miss it.
Your shot attributes are as follows: A- in Release Height, C+ in Defensive Immunity, A in Release Speed, and C- in Timing Stability. The attribute requirements for this build are 6’5” to 6’9” in height and an 81 in either MRS or TPS. This is one of the more balanced builds out there, which can be used by both beginners and experienced players. There are a few drawbacks to this, like slower (but smoother) shooting animation, but good positioning should help overcome those.
Dariq Whitehead & D.Vassell/C.Bassey

Base: Dariq Whitehead
Upper Release 1: Devin Vassell
Upper Release 2: Charles Bassey
Blend: 71/29
If Release Height and Release Speed are your main concerns, this build might be perfect for you. The 71/29 split between D.Vassell and C.Bassey with the Dariq Whitehead base has an A+ grade in both Release Height and Release Speed, making it perfect for those high and quick jumpshots. You also want to release the speed setting set to Very Quick, since that is what this build plays around. Defensive Immunity is at B- while Timing Stability is at D.
The major plus with this build is that, even though it uses very high release speeds, you still have a pretty big green window. The green window goes all the way up to the release, making it easier to time your shots. You can set your visual cue to release to help facilitate it. The attribute requirements for this build are 6’5” to 6’10” and 80 in either MRS or TPS. An overall efficient build for both greening and high release speed.
Allen Iverson & Beluba/C.Sexton

Base: Allen Iverson
Upper Release 1: Beluba
Upper Release 2: Collin Sexton
Blend: 50/50
We’ve got another 50/50 split build, this time between Beluba and C.Sexton. The Allen Iverson base with Beluba plus C.Sexton 50-50 split has been popular amongst a lot of players, and that’s primarily due to its low height requirements. To run this build, you need to be between 5’9” and 6’4”. While the minimum height isn’t an issue, the maximum is what stops a lot of taller players from running this build. You also need an 88 in either MRS or TPS, so if you’re making this work, your shots will be phenomenal.
The speed for this build is set at Quick, and the visual cue is at release, helping with the green window. Shot attributes for this build are: A+ in Release Height, A in Defensive Immunity, A+ in Release Speed, and C in Timing Stability. Combining all those grades gives you an A-grade level build, easily overpowering taller opponents. Another fact to remember with this build is that at this height, you unlock the Mini Marksman shooting badge as well, adding to its offensive prowess.
Stephen Curry & S.Curry/J.Harden

Base: Stephen Curry
Upper Release 1: Stephen Curry
Upper Release 2: James Harden
Blend: 60/40
Our final build is a Steph Curry fan’s dream. A build with a Stephen Curry base alongside an S.Curry and J.Harden upper release motion split going 60/40. You might be surprised using Steph Curry as both your base and upper release 1, but we’ll explain why this build works. The release speed for this will be at Quick, and the visual cue is at release. This is because the greening window for your shot won’t end until the release animation is completed. The 60-40 blend helps accomplish that.
Your shot attribute grades are at C for Release Height, which is pretty underwhelming. But you’ll have an A+ in both Defensive Immunity and Release Speed, and an A in Timing Stability. This is one of the few builds that has an A in Timing Stability, so if your playstyle includes a lot of shooting on the run, or using catch-and-shoot animations, this is the ideal build for you. This build is only viable for players 6’5” or under with 91 MRS or TPS. Make sure you focus those shooting attributes during the MyPLAYER builder process if you want to run this build.
