On Thursday night during the finale of the $250,000 NBA 2K19 MyTEAM Unlimited Tournament, 2K will release a special locker code.

The code, which gives fans an opportunity to unlock valuable players in-game within the MyTEAM mode, will be shown during the live Twitch stream. The stream begins at 8pm ET, and that’s also when the locker code will go live.
Unlike other locker codes from this year’s game that typically last a week, this special All-Star Weekend version will only be active from 8pm-11pm ET. The limited time availability compels gamers to watch the stream and to get to their consoles to input the code.
There is no word on what the prize will be for this code. Usually, you have a chance to unlock a great player, but there is also the possibility of receiving something much less valuable. Because there have been no reward parameters set, and the time of availability is so limited, this might be more of an old-school locker code. This means if you input the code in time, you automatically get the desired reward and there is no element of chance.
The MyTeam mode within NBA 2K is experiencing one of its best in years. The overall stability has been good and the mode has been packed with some strong and more gamer-friendly features and concepts. The extended time to input a locker code was one change implemented this year that allowed all MyTeamers more access.
In case you’re wondering how to input a locker code, here are the instructions:
- Scroll over to “MyTeam” on your main menu.
- Select the option and once it loads, scroll over to “Settings.”
- Select the “Locker Codes” option and input the code you receive.
- It’s important to remember, you have to input the dashes for the code to work. If it has expired, you will receive an error message.
- Once redeemed, you won’t see the actual card until you head back to the MyTeam menu and highlight the “Pack Market.”
- There you can select the “Prize Packs” option, and if you have a card waiting for you, you can open it.
