'NBA 2K19' MyTEAM: 5 Pink Diamond Players You Can Get For Less Than 50,000 MT

Allen Iverson – PD

If you’re stacking MT in hopes of copping a Pink Diamond card from the MyTeam Auction House, I’ve done a little research to identify the best available for a reasonable amount of MT points.

I set the in-game search for 50,000 MT and lower, and the following five players can be had with this search criteria and resources. If you’re an experienced MyTeam player, you know the overall rating only tells part of the story. In 2K19, bigger is usually better, so I’ve ranked the cards in order of bargain value.

MT Prices Current As of February 13 at 12:01 am ET.

96 Overall – Moments – Jusuf Nurkic – As Low as – 36,850 MT

Jusuf Nurkic – Pink Diamond

On New Year’s Day, the Portland Trail Blazers’ Jusuf Nurkic went bananas against the Sacramento Kings. He tallied 24 points, 23 rebounds, 7 assists, 5 blocks, and 5 steals. Nurkic also made 14 of 16 free-throw attempts. The huge performance helped pushed Portland to a 113-108 victory, and it produced one heck of a Moments card.

This Nurkic card sports a 97 block and steals rating to go with a 96 strength attribute. To further enhance the effectiveness, the card is equipped with a Hall-of-Fame Rim Protector and Pick Pocket badge. It also has 15 Gold Badges, including Brick Wall, Bruiser, Defensive Stopper, and Hustle Rebounder. For just under 40K MT, you probably won’t find a player capable of impacting your lineup more.

96 Overall – Ben Wallace – As Low as – 29,000 MT

Ben Wallace – Pink Diamond

This Ben Wallace card is easily the most attainable PD card at the auction. It’s the cheapest and the most plentiful. This version of Wallace is outstanding close to the basket. His 99 standing layup and 90-plus dunk ratings make him an elite finisher. However, defensively is where the card shines the most.

The 98 block and 92 steals rating gives Wallace the room to make impact defensive plays, but the 88-speed mark assures he can guard smaller players on the perimeter. As rebounding goes, Wallace is amazing. He has a 98 rating on both offensive and defensive rebounding.

If there is a drawback, it’s his size. At 6’9″, Wallace can struggle to rebound against bigs that are taller and possess the same rebounding and strength ratings. Because so many online players pack their lineups with size, you might run into some challenges in that area.

96 Overall – Chinese New Year – Stephon Marbury – As Low as – 45,400 MT

Stephon Marbury – Pink Diamond

Behind the Tracy McGrady card from the same set, this might be my favorite of the CNY series. At 6’3″ Stephon Marbury is a little small for some of the more gigantic lineups, but he’s definitely not diminutive. Also, all of his three-point ratings are 92 or higher and he has a driving dunk rating of 85, which helps to alleviate one concern with his height.

This Marbury card can finish, and that’s important. You will break some ankles with this card, thanks to the 98 ball control and 96 speed. He has a total of 17 badges and four of them are of the HOF variety, but it’s the Difficult Shots badge that will likely come in most handy. That 45K price tag is stiff, and he’s still a little short. That is what keeps him behind Wallace on this list.

97 Overall – Allen Iverson – As Low as – 50,000 MT

Allen Iverson – PD

This card is fantastic and has very few drawbacks. All of Allen Iverson’s mid-range shots are at a 97 and all of the three-point ratings are a 90. The ball control is a 98 and his steals rating is at 96. You know The Answer has the speed to burn; Try 98 in pure speed, speed with the ball and acceleration.

This Iverson card has six HOF badges including Ankle Breaker, Acrobat, and Difficult Shots. I mentioned drawbacks, and it starts with his average (65) dunk rating. Does the Iverson card have the numbers to flush? Yes, but at 6’0″ with a 65 driving dunk and no Posterizer badge on any level, he’ll be vulnerable at the rim against big and physical defenders.

Lastly, the Limitless Range badge is only at the bronze level. For 50K MT, you might have to question buying The Answer.

96 Overall – Moments – Kemba Walker – As Low as – 49,950 MT

Kemba Walker Pink Diamond

The Walker card doesn’t have any Limitless Range badge, and the ratings are a touch lower in speed, steals and a few other categories. Perhaps worst of all, Walker’s dunks rating is even lower. Walker sports a frail 30 for driving dunk, and that is less than ideal–especially for a 6’1″ player.

Grabbing the Walker card at this price doesn’t make much sense. If you could earn 50 more MT points and get the Iverson card you’d be getting a better player. Still, I placed the Walker card on the list because it’s worth monitoring the fluctuation in price for the Charlotte Hornets’ star.

This Kemba Walker Moments card that spawned from a lights-out performance on November 17 has some similarities to the Iverson card. The shooting numbers from mid-range and three are the same, but there are also some deficiencies when compared.
